Tubastrea Coccinea
Tubastrea Occinea, commonly called the Sun Coral, is obviously a part of the coral family. Coral do not have much of a nervous system at all, if any. They have an outer epidermis, allowing them to react to stimuli which touch them at any point on their surface. However, as most Cnidaria, coral do not have a brain or central nervous system, therefore the Coral can only react to its environment through defense, but it doesn't have any other sensory abilities. It also has defense mechanisms, the tentacles. These organs act almost as whiskers, or hair, as they can tell what it in the environment around the coral, and when another organism comes into contact, the tentacles can attempt to close in and capture the prey. Besides this there are no nerves or nerve nets.
